Thought I'd update with a loooonggg overdue post. So what's been going on lately? I ace'd my first sememster in Grad School!!!! Two courses kicked my butt in the summer. Now we're all back in the routine of the school year: me with teaching, my J with his first year in public school & the hubby about to start coaching soon, it's going to be tough working full time and taking one course. BUT, I will survive! I will! I have to, you know?

The other reason I figured I'd make a post?!?!? I need to make a change with something & I have always stated that you can't complain about something without you attempting to being that strong force that enables the change you want......SO........I AM MAKING A CHANGE! I have this fear of failing at this since I have failed so many times over so many years so I will not stated what it is, just know that I am making a change for the betterment of my life. 'nuff said. period. period. period. Have a great Columbus Day! I'm out!

I am currently enrolled at UNT in the School Librarian Certification program. I just started classes this week, two classes to be exact! It seems like it could get hectic at times, but I know I'm really going to miss scrapping and creating this summer. I like to use my summers to really catch up on my scrapbooking and card making, but it looks like I may be doing it ever so often. Wish me luck! :) It seems like I've been bombarded with school work, I hope to get some scrapping &/or crafting in this summer.....

my hubby volunteered me to take my son's team pics. here's what i came up with. i used my new pse, with a combination of picnik and picasa to help me with the editing. now if only i could manipulate my camera more. i think it came out alright. hey it's much cheaper to do this rather than order from the regular company.

we went out this weekend with some friends to a salsa/merengue dance club. we went to arjon's we had so much fun dancing away....

on friday i also met up with some friends, gracie, beth & rhonda for lunch at blanco cafe. i miss rhonda being here in san anto, she's up in south carolina and came down to visit. we cuaght up, laughed, drank big red and ate good mexican food. she doesnt get much of that in sc.

we went to this cute mexican art shop next door and i bought some neat things. here are some pics from that.

i went tubing with some of my star sists's last weekend for the first time in like ten years....that was a blast although we had some trouble. we had our cooler flip over and lose all our beverages. damnit! we all had some river rock injuries. but all in all i'd say we did have a blast. here's a few pre-tubing pics. can't take my valuable camera on that river. we had a water proof camera that got sucked in on our drop/fall/ sucked in, whateva you wanna call it! another damnit!

i've been a busy bee, ok, sorta! i know i've been twittering like crazy! that's fo sho! i've scrapped a little here and there. i've been spending some much needed time with my hubby, he's done with coaching so since april we've been keeping busy. not to mention i've been hanging with one of my star sis' alot more. so i've been outta the net world. i'm just slowly counting down the school days. 8 more days with kiddos & 9 days left in my contract. let's see where the path of life takes me next.........

my computer was taking for ever to load any websites while i was on the net! turns out something was up with the cable modem so i've been off the net! i'd get on briefly when it was not a busy time of day, but other than that i wouldn't even get a "ready" signal. it sucked!!!! but now i'm back in the bizz! and i'm trying to learn more about posting through my phone....let's see how that goes...

i backed up on my pics from nov 2007....ahhh i know, i know i hadn't done it, i had been lazy about it! & you know i got a virus not too long ago & luckily was able to retrieve the pics so...whew! i stayed on my computer from 5:30-11:30 last night. but you know what, i got it DONE!

i also cleaned up my area a lil' and even got a layout done in the process! yeah me! i actually rearranged a little. i needed to get that little card table outta my room. i have this little computer desk that really doesn't go with my "decor", (ha if i have a "decor"!) but i fell like i can work in here again. and now with my computer working, even betta!

Scrappy April

I said I'd do some stuff scrap related over at Tallyscrapper. It's called Scrappy April. I have half my desk clean. & i haven't really been able to get busy crafting much. I really wish i didn't work! shoot, i wish i had more money to buy scrappy stuff!

I've been busy! I ran/walked the Race for the Cure on Saturday, along with 30,000 other San Antonians. It was a good experience that I will have to do again! This time I hope C can join me. He had to coach J's t-ball game that morning. And that afternoon he had a soccer game too! That boy is all sporty, I often wonder if his love for sports will continue? Time will tell.

I got one of the side effects from my antibiotic. A horrible side effect. I had to do something quick to get that straighten out. Too bad that evening J went with my parents and we could of gone out. But this incident had us turn in early that evening. boo. I hate not being able to take advantage of the night off of mommy duties!

well off i go to start the work week. good thing is that i'm off on friday. i hope to get some scrappy stuff in that day. but who knows, we'll probably end up at sea world! just like this sunday, j loves watching the dolphin show with "the crazy man". he got to see him after the show....

this is day 4 of being sick!!! bummer. total bummer. but i have to motivate myself. i want to post a pic of what my scrappy space looks like now and maybe, just maybe i can make it much messier by the end of the day by scrapping something? what do you think? can i do it? maybe, maybe not because i feel like i really just need to go lay down and rest. but if it's posted here in blog land maybe i can get a layout done by friday! i have to stick to it, since i posted it here!

oh & my daddy too! they bought me this cute white shelf for my scrap room. would you believe we were driving to the zoo with j and while going the long way around because moms doesn't like to drive on the highway, we saw some like rummage sale on the side of the road. i saw this shelf from the street and ask them to pull over. you know my a$$ was broke and my parents told me to ask how much. the lady said $25 and we offered $15 she said $20 we said $18! what a steal! i painted it black and here ya go.......

i've been sick with a respiratory infection. i feel horrible, my body aches, i've been having sweating outbursts, then later on in the day i'll be having chills. i hate this. i just wanna get better. the medicine i'm taking only helps a little and i can't miss too many more days of work, they'll start to deduct my paycheck! ugh!

life: i've been going to a chiropractor lately. i'm hoping to get my back & neck better. i had a minor fender bender a day before v-day and the neck & back pain started immediately. i went to my general pract. but i just got ibuprofen 800 & muscle relaxers, which masked the pain for a lil' while. so now i'm getting popped and pulled hoping it'll help. we'll have to see. in the past week, i have felt an improvement.

scrapping: i got in some good scrapping not to long ago. well actually it was our spring break so i went to a wed. crop at a lss and was able to get in some lo's. i'll have to take pics and upload. i also found a cute shelf at a rummage sale. i just painted it black today. i'm hoping it'll help free up some space in my armoire. i'll take pics of that too!

friends: so good to hear that Jess's baby Gywneth is finally here! i still owe here a "good" baby gift! i got you girl. worried about a few of my friends. that's been one of the reason's i've been away. i've had to comfort a very close friend of mine through some hard times.

downers: my kitchen floor is still not fixed. the past 3 months have been really hard financially. someone, shall remain nameless for fear of hurting feelings, did some bad budgeting and our "extra" money has vanished. in jan. my water heater broke, my car needed over $1,000 in repairs, had an accident the very next day in my hubby's car, another $500 deductible, in which another $200 had to come outta our pockets because some psycho jumped on my car windshield and traumatized myself and J-yes just 4 yrs. old. which was a different accident from feb.'s

positives: my hubby and i are going to do Komen's Race for the Cure on April 4th. i'm hoping to teach summer school which will help with the extra things we need to get done. i'm going to another TallyRally in July. i went to austin for lobby day to speak with state legislators regarding educational issues. i'm hoping to go to another house of delegates meeting in houston to represent our local union.

i've been gone a while so i thought i'd catch ya'll up........

thanksgiving came & went too damn fast for me, as u knw i'm a school teacher so i just thought i'd get all kinds of things done while on vacay! yeah right!!!!!! my kitchen floor is still torn up, we deposited the check from the insurance but since it's such a large amount, the bank takes 5 days to process, a plus though......my dh's uncle's gonna fix all the things on his own & install a new laminate floor! yes, laminate, that's what i decided on.

i did get my living room painted! i'll upload pics soon, before & after, sold my coffee table and end tables on craig's list, bought some new furniture. now i'm just counting down the days till winter break. i'm dying to create something, mostly b/c i bought some things @ joann's after the "black friday" sale & i managed to find a cuttlebug w/ a die on craig's list for $25, yea a steal i would say!!!!!!

my friend barbara & another friend showed me the wonderful world of nestablities from spellbinders and i just knew i wanted some of them! i have NEVER ever wanted a die cutting system! i mean never in all the years crafting.

good news.......my dh has officially started the bball season w/ him being the head coach, i really want success for him. i pray for it. he does so well with the kids, they just need to work hard & trust him so that they can have a winning season. we've (ds & i) have been going to his bball games, he's had 3 big games,vs. good teams. his team does really well, they just can't finish a game well. which put their record at 0 wins-3 losses. yesterday was different.............. they won a very difficult game vs. a great private school team, i mean this game was difficult. they are an all boys school with a great supporting crowd who gets loud and all in the players head. i mean there's about 40 of them in the stands the yell creative chants. dh's team was doing well then lost their lead in the 3rd quarter and ended the game in OT, they ended up winning by 1 b/c one of his player made a 3 point shot w/ about 3 seconds left. it was nuts!!!! i'm really proud of him & his team. they other team's coach is really good too, he's won about 2 state championships in his coaching career. i knw i had shared w/ u guys haw hard it is on me to have him gone so much but it's funny to say that now i KNOW i made the right choice in having him decide whether to go for that head job. he was going to totally give up coaching b/c of our past troubles in our relationship. i mean it's still hard for me, but i can see when he got his "1st head bball coach WIN" it is truly what he loves to do.

i hope to get back in the swing of things soon so i can create more. i miss every1 but u know on tues. & fri. nights i'll be @ bball games

i had a blast this weekend! who cares that my kitchen floor is all tore up! literally from the floor up! (ok, well maybe i do care!) but it didn't stop the weekend from happening! i needed those few days away from school and i got to spend time with lots of family & friends.

on friday c & i went on a date! parent's night out at school made this one possible! it was nice, i was tired and sleepy from a long day at school, but we still took advantage of the evening!

then sat. morning was the usual teeball/soccer games. although that was one cold morning so i guess the other teeball team didn't want to play, our team had like 5 lil' players show up at 8 a.m.! then we went to c's bball scrimmage, it's interesting watching the hubby be in charge of the team now, go Head Coach go! then i was able to spend time with the stampin ladies! yep, hung out with Penny, Carri, and Barb! that was really fun! i found out i have a blog stalker! cool! so now just for you Carri, i need to remind myself to post more often! i really didn't want to leave, but i had j's teacher coming over to babysit so that we could go over to my star sis' 30th shindig @ her house. i really wanted to stay home b/c it was chilly out, you know one of those nights you just wanna stay in. but that's my star sis and i just had to go. we hung out there and had lots of jello shots! yummy ones too! my friend's mother was having a little too much fun with those shots! everyone had to keep an eye on her, she was hiding them in her pockets of her jacket!

on sun. we laid in bed for a while and then got going, made ham & cheese omelets for the family and then off to c's grandmother's house to celebrate his grandfather's 80th! came back home to do some cleaning/laundry and here ya go! back into the swing of the wk again! i did find this cool site that i wanted to share with you all, the stalker in particular, just in case she hadn't seen it....tracy's corner

btw, the water damage story....

on sunday we had water under our washing machine. we moved it, cleaned up the water, re-adjusted the hoses and figured that was it! WRONG! the hose was the cheap rubber ones and it had a slow leak where it connects so on monday night after work/dinner i walk into my pantry and hear squishing water under my steps and water seeping out of the laminate floor boards and it has bubbled up like so....

so now we had to file a claim with our homeowners insurance and have a restoration company come out to tear up the floor, soak it up, and have fans running for 3 days to help speed up the evaporation process. after my floor has been torn up:

bummer, right before the holidays too! and it all depends on our insurance person and what they decide as to what happens, we may get the floor matched so it'll be laminate again. which i would really not like to have for the obvious reason, that damn particle board just absorbed that water right up! if they can't match it, they may say to total it out and get a while new floor. another possibility would come into play if the cabinets got damaged too! so now we play the waiting game. it could take up to a week or a month to fix depending on the damage!

tomorrow's the big day. i'm not really ready, but then again who ever is???
i had a blast last night, lots of my friends went out with us to this cool spot downtown. we drank, and then drank some more. it's always nice when you have all your friends around you that love you. but then today i wake up and off we go! on the go again, pick up j at grandparents' house, off to the mil's for her bday gathering, then back home to do laundry. this next week is gonna be hectic. we have teeball practice on mon., soccer practice on tues. then off to Lack's to purchase some new living room furniture. yea!!! then that leads us into the next weekend, which is j's bday. gotta get all that stuff ready too. not to mention the sofa's will need to be delivered over the weekend. we need to declutter the house and rearrange soem things too. all my scrap stuff needs to be moved into the extra bedroom, you know i really wanted it in the kitchen so that i could scrap in an open area to keep an eye on j. but i find i don't have a kitchen table, so my scrap armoire needs to be in a room, outta plain sight, cause you know i don't clean up after i scrap! lol alwyas lots to do, gotta run now! maybe i can blog tom.!!!

i'm loving being here in sc! it's so beautiful. i've meet lots of tallygals at this tallyrally and spending time with Rhonda and Jess aka tallylibrarian has been a blast. i hope i can do this again soon. i almost took the cake with spending the most $$$. jess of course beat me by $8. i really took advantage of spending $$$ on scrappin' stuff. i've been wanting the amy butler tote, i've seen it at hobby lobby before too. i coulda used a coupon on it, but i always have an excuse. well not this time, i picked it up right away. partially b/c scrapbook creations had a coupon that could be used on for 40% off your next purchase on your next visit. well, i had no shame and made mention of "when's the next time i'll be near sc and drop in to use my coupon????. the coupon said the next time you visit and technically the first time i was there was fri. night and my next day was sat. so i used the coupon!!!!

one other thing that made my trip was a cute little waiter at ruby tuesdays. i know, i know. no biggie, he just called me sweetie and sweetheart a few times and i ate it up. is that bad???? NO! but i enjoyed the extra attention. i think it has alot to do with me hitting 30 soon. i'll take the younger generation flirts while i can still get them. the mango margaritas were awesome too! we ate at a cool hibatchi place too. that was off the chain, i've never been so it was a great first, i ended up eating some great shrimp with some fried rice.

it was supa cool to meet people that i've been getting to know online. i've never done anything like that before either. it's always cool to meet other scrappers, i like to say i'm a people person who is better at getting to know people in person. sometimes it's hard to just throw yourself out there but as a few posts ago, i'm trying to get better with that right???? yep!

i gotta add that cute sidebar thing that has everyone's blog. i need to make sure i can keep up with everyone that i meet at the tallyrally!!! oh, before i 4get, the pics will come soon, i'll upload them when i get home, i fly back tom.

oh i forgot to mention that i walked outta there with 13 or so mini albums, wow!!!!!! how am i ever gonna do all those????? jess claims i'm the mini book queen. how many have you seen me do? i'm sure i agree with that comment that was made before i rec'd all the mini's. well i guess i have to be now huh?

yep, tom. will be here soon and Oct. will hit me hard! I'll be turing the big shhhhhh...... 3-0! oh, oh! My ds will turn 4 a week and a day after that and I'll be headed to SC for a visit with one of my best friends and to meet up with some new ones! yep, the Tally Rally in SC will be here next week! I leave on Thursday night and won't get back home until Mon. this is going to be an exciting trip for me. i feel kinda of funny meeting up with the some of the tally girls, being that i've only known them through tally. (which i tend to not get on as much since school has started) i've been really busying teaching pre-k. i've been making all kinds of things for my classroom. slowly, yes very slowly it's getting to where i'd like it.

sometimes i feel that i don't share enough with my buddies online. it's hard to let it all out. i always feel that i have a professional job with teaching and have to keep some kind of private life. you know not let all my business out there. you hear those stories about some teacher did this or that. sometime the situations get blown outta porportion. but i'm gonna be better at sharing. i have to promise this to stick to it!!!! lol

other news: the marathon training went out the window when i got my foot done. it needed a while to heal and then before you knew it school started and i was floored by all the things i needed to do to get my class adjusted, my teaching routines, etc. i've been a busy bee. i have not scrapped since Aug. 22nd. C-R-a-Z-y!!! i'm in a dead scrappin' spell. i've gotten a few mags in the mail with not much inspiring. I love to get into online galleries to help the mojo flow, but the computer time has been used to check myspace, clean out my email inbox, design document for classroom centers, get ideas from sites for school, and printing them. i've managaged to pop into some blogs and get inspired to share more. how often do you blog? maybe i can find a happy medium that fits my lifestyle.

j started t-ball and soccer on sat. he had his first practices of the fall season. then his second practice yesterday and today. big game day coming on sat. he has an 8:00 t-ball game and then 9:20 soccer. kid will be 4 soon and he's ready to go with both sports. i'd never push him in to both. he asked if he could, we explained that the games would be on the same day and probably one right after the other. didn't matter much his mind was made up. hummmmm...., wonder where he got that quality from????

tata for now, i think that has to be one of the longest posts in a while. i have to make up for not posting anything in a month and a half!!!

by the way, i'm hoping to take up a new form of exercising, my lovely friend Marty-Mar will assist this with me. Read her blog and you will get the hint!

well, u know by now i peek in & then disappear soooo...... since i offically reported back today, i know i will be gone alot more. i am teaching pre-kiner this year, and i just know that i will be busy making things for my classroom and little ones instead of surfing the net, hangin out at tally or creating scrap goodies! so ta-ta for now. i promise, take that back, i pledge to try my hardest to peek in often. but, big BUT.... BB10 is still on so my free time will be watching my DVR'd shows! love ya! smooches!

My first Tatt!

well i can say i never went through the crazy, just-turned-18, let-me-prove-my-independence tattoo business. on the other hand i did get my belly button and tongue pierced, my way of saying all of the above stage! so i thought i'd never really go through with getting one because i had passed that stage right?! WRONG! terribly wrong. all it took was a little convincing of some friends and a supportive hubby and well whataya know i have this.... this is the before pic of me & a during

story behind the tatt, there's 5 of us getting the same one, all high school buddies. the only difference between them is that the colors rotate, we picked the color we liked and that's the main big star, and the others are the colors that our friends choose. does that make sense? i can't wait till it heals a little more so that i can put on regular shoes, wearing flipflops for a week & a half is getting sooo old, not to mention not being in the sun or the pool in this 100 degree days we've been having.

i'd like to go to the gym and get back to training for, ahhhh, shall i say it?!??! the rock n'roll marathon going on here in Nov. I would like to try the half marathon & i was doing good like for week1 and then i got the tatt, which put me off track. i'm glad to hear an old friend of mine started a blog on a 5K training.

i scrapped a little yesterday i was challenged at tally to scrap & post a layout in 1 hour as here's my creation...

and last....i've been obessed with watching BigBrother 10, the drama that went on yesterday was great! if you're not watching this, you should! i've even been stalking a BB10 blog!

i took a long break from bloggin'! ha! yea, right! i'm just a bad blogger that's all!i went to NEA in Washington and Las Vegas. both in July. it has taken me forever to start creating again. I made a b-day card the other day and realized how much i've missed making things. so with that said.... i made an altered tool holder for my (shhh!!!, it's a secret)

my weekend went by too fast! had a nice union rep. dinner to attend on friday, j's tee-ball game sat. morning. poker game that was hosted at my house on sat. and dh's b-ball game to go to today. my chihuahua got up-to-date on his shots this afternoon, poor doggie. he got 3 shots, a bordatella vac., and blood drawn to check for heartworm. we spent some fun family time in the front yard, watering, watchin' ds play in a little pool. like i said, too fast!

the title says it all. Things have been super crazy at school. State testing was this week and I got pulled from my class to admin. to a 4th grade group. You know Texas and the craziness with TAKS. need I say more?

We've been busy b/c J's in T-ball now and C's the coach. It's fun to see this 3 y.o. so pumped about baseball. you know daddy's super excited too, we actually went to a specialized baseball store to look for a decal of his team to put on his helmet. We looked at bats, gloves, little bitty baseball pants, balls. One of the store clerks looked at my husband weird when he said "ya, i'm looking to get him some more things now that I know he's really into it." yes, people, it's been 2 YMCA seasons and we're all wrapped in it. wild. nuff said.

FIESTA in San Antonio, came and went. I hit up NIOSA with a few friends and saw a few familiar faces. If you've never been to FIESTA in San Antonio, I absolutley advice it once. Key word ONCE! It's crazy to see the city party all week long. Major streets Downtown shut down. again, craziness.

I went to another TSTA (Texas State Teacher's Associate)Convention. it's very political. Then again, that's Texas! It's hard to believe that there are many teacher's out there that are unfamiliar with their rights and do not advocate more for themsleves and their students. Now, granted I'm still learning alot. But, I'm on my journey with it. Luckily, our local quote-unquote union is very active and affiliated with many others, TFT, TSTA, AFT, NEA, list goes on.
By the way, I'm making plans to go to Washington in July for the NEA (National Education Association) Convention. My very first. This should be very interesting. Especially since one of my dear friends is taking an issue she has to this national level. Her issue? When we, teachers, administer TAKS, the state test. We have to sign an oath that can jeopardize our teaching certificate if there are any violations. What could be a violation? oh my the range, let's see: flipping through a student's test booklet, letting 2 students go to the rr at one time from the same class, discussing the test contents with others, having a cell phone on, computer on, leaving the test booklets unmonitored. i could go on. anyhow, her issue is very valid in some of these violations are beyond the teacher's control, i.e. the student choosing to cheat. the teacher could lose their certificate for this reason. this is one topic i could go on about, but let me get off my soap box and go to bed.

in other news.........Big Brother is over and my eyes are not glued to the TV for an hour every Tues., Wed., and Sun. night. Lol ;), but there's gonna be a summer season! whooohoooo!

i forgot to add... i chopped off my hair, i decided to cut it, then the stylist kept cutting and doing her own thing. i never mind when people do that. i figure, hey they know what their doing! big risk i know.... here's a pic with me and my cutie.

i'm also outta my mind, as the busy school year winds down with 22 school days left in the year i volunteered to make 65 retirement invites for the 2 retirees we have at our school. yes crazy i know!

It's so on! I played the "october's my birthday" card to get $$$ from our budget for the South Carolina Tally Rally. Read all about it on Jan's blog. There's a list of awesome scrappers going. Not to mention it's being held at Scrapbook Creations, they have a Scrapbook Cottage. I'm so excited! Can October get here fast enough? I have a very, very close friend who lives in Rockhill, SC too. I've yet to visit her. I'm gonna see if she would like to join. It may be hard to leave my family and miss a day from work, but I'm sure I'll quickly forget once I get to scrapping! Well, we tried to go to Sea World, just dh & I, day got off to a slow start. I hung out for a while at Tally and SIS. So you know that took up some time! There's great scrap inspiration over there and meeting other online scrappers is always fun. I wish I was out of debt to attend all these Meet-up Crops going on. I tell myself in due time, in due time.

Okay, back to the Sea World story, we drove over there, like 10 mins. from my house, took 4-eva to find parking, get in, and then just decided it's way, WAY, way too crowded to stay and wait for ride. Instead what did we do?
Scrounged up the last few bucks we had and stopped off at DQ for a banana split. We had to share. Enjoyable adult time with my dh still happened, just not kidless at Seaworld. We both figured, hey we're teachers we can come back on a less crowded day in the summer. One of the luxuries of teaching! Ever heard the saying, The best 3 things about this job? June, July, & August! lol :P

oh btw, finally created a lo using the kit from RVKC....

Spring Break is Here!

Yep, I'm on my break. Ask me what I've got done round the house? nada. I'm dying to scrap something. Hopefully the creative juices will start to flow. I've had a chance to get on Tallyscapper a little more, and let's not forget had more time to stalk a Big Brother Blog I found. I'm so addicted it's crazy. I loved last season with Dick and Dani and all that drama. This season is proved interesting with the couple thing in the beginning, there's been lots of surprises. Let's not forget The Hills will be starting soon. Yep, I'm a Reality TV whore. I'm kinda stunned that I never got into Survivor. I know lots of people watch it.

On a more personal note,
Things on the homefront are going good. we're have lots of family time together and have even gotten a few weekends where my mom has babysat so that we can have a date night. We started carpooling since he's done with coaching. And now I have had lots of time to catch up on some TV watching. wait this should be scrapping time. The hubby's even taken steps to stop coaching all together. I think it's hurt alot of our relationship, as well as our family. He's missed out on alot. High school football, basketball and at times track is just too much time gone. We're working hard to get through this tough time and it's proved evident since I'm no longer able to be glued to the computer searching through message boards and galleries!

btw, to all my local buddies. Call me, email me, message me through tally so that we can crop some. I'm dying to have some friends over to do this.

It's that time of year again! We celebrated Dr. Suess's birthday by going around to school's dancing and parading through the halls. I was "The Cat in the Hat" today and got so tired from all the visits we made. It was so worth it to see the kids' faces light up from excitement. This is my 3rd year doing it. Saturn donates the gas and cars for us to drive around in. We took a group picture. Take a guess which one is me....

Then I took a quick pic with my mom, whom was daring in joining us to help out for the day. She loved it!

i finally decided to snatch up a kit from Red Velvet Girls! I've been eyeballing those kits for a while now. Love all the stuff that comes in their kits! I finally have a few extra bills to donate to my scrap fund. Being in debt bites, but I can happily say it's being worked on and my DH has allotted "Roni" $ to spend as I please! Take a look at my closet and you can tell I need to update the wardrobe. But do you think I'd spend my money on clothes or scrapping supplies? yep. you know the answer to that one.

on a different note, DH's done with coaching. done forever? not quite sure yet. but for now! we are having more family time and us time, so where'd my scrap time go? I need to sneak some time for me to scrap.
and scrap soon.
i'm feenin'.
but, with my recent kit purchase, hopefully you'll see me get back the mojo!
seems like the LOAD challenge sucked up my scrapping juices.

I'm getting excited that I'm getting close to accomplishing my LOAD goal of 31 lo's in 31 days. So it got me to thinking about my next scrapping goal for the year of 2008?

I was thinking I was going to shoot for 1/2 of 365, for the days in the year. But, I thought damn that's way too much. like 80 something too much.

So, my next thought, maybe 110 layouts, that'll be 52 weeks x's 2.

I think that is a goal I can make. Hey and if I surpass it then Hell Yea!

Wish me luck... or maybe make a new goal suggestion... any ideas?

Where Did I go?

ok, ok i've been hiding a little. I've run into many of you and the ? being asked is... where have i been? truthfully, honestly and sadly, i've been extremely busy. here's my list:

hubby's been coaching, basketball season has started and we are trying to go to most of the games. J loves it. He really gets into them and cheers, "Go Blue!"

the holidays hit hard, money's tight and i can't help but want to spend on scrapping stuff. if i'm online, i'll want to buy it all. i joke that i'm a new product whore, ok, junkie sounds better. i'll admit i'm a junkie for cool new things, my quick fix: but something new and it makes me "ahhh"

school. ah school. staying late. working hard. all i can say is it's been an extremely rough year and tough altogether. my hubby's insight to make the situation better is "the school year's 1/4 of the way over" (we just completed the 1st 9 weeks!) he's always so positive! you gotta love it.

lastly, this blog was created for my scrapping stuff, creative sharing. what have i created to share with ya? nada, lately. my mojo will return....... someday, just not soon enough! lol

i did scrap a few layouts that i have yet to post on here, so....

My birthday was Sat. and I got sick that day. I went to the Med Clinic to get it checked out. I had chills, body aches, throat hurt, and my head was pounding. Well the doctor breifly checks me out and says he doesn't think it could be strep but that he could be wrong. They swab my throat and sure enough, I have STREP!!!! I spend that rest of the night tossing and turning, uncomfortable, couldn't breathe good and unable to sleep. I spend some time on Sun. resting too. I think I'm starting to feel a little better, mainly because I optted to take the shot. Yep, in the boot-tay!

Well, what a way to spend my day! Luckily I had gotten my camera as my b-day gift a few weeks earlier! I had a great time going out with my hubby and friends on Fri. night before the strep took it's course!

I made a 2 pager over the weekend. Recently I've been inspired by Pip's blog. She rocks the freestyle 2 pagers. Check her blog out here. Trying to get back to working with 2 pagers, you know just change it up a bit!

I still had to sneak in a one pager yesterday. It's for the Survivor thing at Tallyscrapper. This layout was fun to do. painted on it, stamped, doodled. fun, fun! Dh always says I love you this much! He holds his front of his hands back to back to make a full circle, never ending. {not much of a romantic} but i will take the cute comment!

J started tee ball on Sat. very interesting to see him play on a team. the first time he batted, he hit the ball....well shall i say tapped the ball, it rolled a few feet in front of him and he pounced on it. he was the first one to get to it and then all the other players from the other team piled on. i had to inform everyone that yep!!!! he's an only child! he has to hit the ball to himself and catch it himself!

After the game we stopped by a pumpkin patch. this is on of my fave pics from it. there's something about these rows of pumpkins that makes me smile!

then we had a blast carving them at my mom's house! made a mess there! lol not at my house. loved this pic of the lighted jack o'laterns!

I had a blast scrapping at my house on Fri. Night. There were some awesome people busy making awesome stuff. Just want to say thanks to everyone who came. I enjoyed each & every one of you.

Sam, oh wowie wow, she cracks me up. I could listen to her talk for hours.

Marty's book is great, I can't wait to see the finished product. Getting messy is so much fun. That's the joy in creating. And boy did she get messy & creative!

I was in a 3 car accident this morning. I got rear ended!!! I'm ok, although my neck is sore & stiffening up. I've never really been in a car accident it totally freaked me out. Luckily my dh was not too far away as we were both on our way to school/work. He stopped by and stayed with me. I had a Dr's appt. & they took xrays. I'm just thankful my ds was not with me. The back of my PT Cruiser is very badly damaged. The back is all flat so it just got pushed in further and the bumper is really messed up. The other car barely had any dents, a few scratches. I'll post pics later!

All in all, bottom line, no one was really hurt. My neck is sore. {My ds's was at daycare, I'm grateful he was not with me.} The other car I bumped had no damage, so she left. And the person that hit me was fine.

The 3's title? ds had strep last Mon., took him in yesterday for croup, & now the car accident! wow!

I taught my first scrapbook class at SB911 last Sun. It was so much fun!!! I thought it might have been difficult, you know transitioning from teaching children to adults, but you will not believe how awesome it went. Everyone was so nice and I got lots of smiles, which meant everyone was pleased! All of the clear albums came out great! I like to see how everyone adds their own "touch" to it! Here's a little pic for ya! BTW, Gina stopped in and took this pic! (I added the touch up.) I finally got to meet her, we've been blogging back & forth, so it's nice to finally meet. She's super sweet & nice! Thanks Gina for the shout out on the blog!

My mojo went out the window as fast as it could when I had to report back at school. I'm totally missing scrapping!! A few of us got together last weekend and had a few beverages, but I did no scrapping. yep, none. :( I had an absolute blast hanging with all the girlies though. That was so much fun, we talked and talked. Reminded me of the high school days when the girls just gab away. That was us.

I miss scrapping.
I miss the "my time".
I miss logging in at tally.
I miss my free-no work time.
I miss hanging out with my son.
I miss taking him to SeaWorld.
I miss seeing my hubby for more than 1 hour in a day.
I miss making all of us breakfast for more than one day a week-Sundays.
I miss sleeping late.
Oh boy, do I miss my sleep.
I miss being stressed free.
I miss alot of things right now.

I want to get my creavitiy going again.
I want to have a few drinks.
I want to hang out with my friends.
I want to go on an grown up night out. No kids.
I want to go out to a club and dance with my hubby.

I see kids all week, all day
and then I have my little one at home too.
I worked from 7:30 am to 5:20 pm today.
I usually work all day, pick up my son, cook us dinner, hang out with him for a few hours, try to catch one of my shows, sneak on the net for a few mins., give my son a bath, do the night routine and then put him to bed.

time to do it all?

there's people i know in this net world who are always blogging (have like 3 of them), scrap like nobody's business, complete all challenges, daily life scrapping, and deck of me cards, are uploading layouts to flickr to share with others, uploading layouts to scrap submit, and printing their pics at home to start that whole cycle over again?

oh & did i mention they always have the newest product which means they are either at their local scrapbook store snatching it up before everyone else, or surfing the net ordering off of a site! geez, more time on the computer. oh and let's not forget chatting with friends and posting messages on the boards.

lately i've been on the computer ALOT! which means i've been surfing b/c you guys know i have not been blogging. i joke with the husband that i need a laptop with wireless internet so that at least i could go to bed early.
how do some of you guys do this?

oh i think i can add another thing to that list... they also have time to edit their digi pics! do you have time to do all this?

aren't there kids to bathe, mouths to cook for, houses to clean, errands to run, ways to earn $?????? could i add more to THAT list?

well, i've always wanted to do more with my scrapping and i've recently had a few little toots getting pubbed in 2 online mags, but i want to do more. what more can i do? a great next step would be to start teaching at one of the local scrap stores here in san antonio. yes, ladies & gents, i will start teaching classes at Scrapbook 911!

my first class will be on making a fun, trendy clear mini album all about "my loves"! it will be on sun., sept. 9th and will include many cool things: heidi swapp masks, paint dabbers, love elsie paper, bling, ribbon, primas..... this is going to be so much fun! read more about it here.

okay this title can mean many things! first the exciting surprise, I got a altered tin picked up for the Basic Grey Gallery! Here's the link. It's an altered tin I made for a friend!
the other surprise is that my hubby's car has broken down twice in a week and a half. more expense to add to this month's dip in our account. bummed out about that.
